What is the #GlobalCleanUpChallenge?

In support of World Clean-up Day on September 19, 2020, our team will complete six clean-ups across four countries over the month of September & starting on the 19th! Our goal is to collective collect at least 100 kilograms of litter & make the world a little bit cleaner :)

How Do You Join?

Complete this form to join our challenge!
We encourage you to create a clean-up of your own or to see if you might want to join one of our current clean-ups hosted across the world, at Grahamstown (South Africa), Halifax NS (Canada), Dartmouth NS (Canada), Vancouver BC (Canada) or Edmonton (AB). Most will be held on the 19th but some in the weeks following as well!

And Some Tips: COVID Recommendations & More!

While things may be improving, COVID is still ravaging our many communities, and with that, we'd offer the following key tips for anyone doing a clean-up in their location:
  • 1) Keep Groups Small: Each locality will have their own rules, and recommend to keep groups as small as possible. Even a clean-up with just one person is a huge success! For most of us, this means groups of 1-10 people... Stay within your local guidelines.
  • 2) Wear a Mask: Especially if doing a clean-up with others, it will be requested to please wear a mask. And an extra bonus if it's reusable... Remember, your safety is #1!
  • 3) Get Some Gloves: And as well, get some gloves. This will be especially important if you're picking up other people's masks or personal trash. And be very careful what you pick up.
  • 4) And Just Be Aware + Vigilant: And finally, just be aware of the situation, especially in your local community. Not every place is the same & what might be safe in area is not in another. And for this year in particular, even a delayed clean-up is amazing!
